We are another step closer to knowing the lineup of sprinters competing at the Paris 2024 Olympics, with confirmation from the UCI that Israel and Surinam have each declined one of their two allocated places in the men’s sprint and keirin competitions.

Jair Tjon en Fa and Mikhail Yakovlev performed strongly over the qualifying period, each earning two spots for their respective nations, but neither country has another contender waiting in the wings.

So their additional places will go instead to the top-ranked countries on the waiting list.

This means Colombia receives the offer of a second spot at the Games, as first reserve in sprint. Kazakhstan gets an invite to join the party in Paris, as first reserve in keirin.

These were the only changes to the allocations previously calculated: all places in the women’s sprint events, and all endurance places for both men and women, were taken up.
