The [Calendar page](https://www.derbywheel.com/derbywheel-race-schedule) now states that regular-season racing will happen every two weeks starting ‘from the 1st half of 2025’. That’s a change from the now practically impossible second half of 2024. The same date has been added to the ‘ [race format](https://www.derbywheel.com/derbywheel-race-operation)‘ page. Racing will move to a weekly schedule ‘from the 2nd half of 2025’. ![Screenshot](https://globalkeirin.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/09/dwcalendar.jpg) _Screenshot_ But as yet, there is no update as regards the proposed test event: it is still listed as taking place at Newport velodrome, on a date ‘T B C’ (to be confirmed). And there has been no [News](https://www.derbywheel.com/blog) announcement relating to the update: the last News article was mid-April, 164 days ago. On one level, it’s a disappointing development, confirming that things definitely are not happening any time soon. But we’re grateful that it shows the project remains alive… and that they haven’t lost the password for the website. ‘The first half of 2025’ could mean anything between now and 30 June 2025.
