## 󠀁[Follow Sunday’s Japanese and Korean keirin finals](https://globalkeirin.com/2026/06/follow-sundays-japanese-and-korean-keirin-finals/)󠁿

28 June 2026

It’s a big weekend for keirin racing in Japan and Korea.

Sunday is finals day at the second Keirin World Series event, held in the
fabulous indoor facility at Kokura, Japan.
[Ellesse Andrews](https://globalkeirin.com/rider/ellesse-andrews/) and
[Hetty van de Wouw](https://globalkeirin.com/rider/hetty-van-de-wouw/) both go
into the women’s final unbeaten in Japanese racing: can either of them keep
their winning streak going?

[Matthew Richardson](https://globalkeirin.com/rider/matthew-richardson/) was on
the sharp end of Japanese racing tactics in his semi final on Saturday, so he
misses out on the men’s final, leaving it up to
[Joe Truman](https://globalkeirin.com/rider/joseph-truman/) to defend the honour
of the Great Britain Cycling Team in the big race.

Meanwhile, in Korea, it’s the King Of Kings event – the second highest payday of
the year, and almost certainly another showdown between **Im Chae-bin** and
**Jeong Jong-jin**. Both men won their semi finals on Saturday.

_Global Keirin_ is unable to report live on the day’s racing, but you will be
able to watch the drama unfold courtesy of YouTube.

The Japanese programme will be available at the live stream embedded below.
