The four foreign riders all won their respective races on days one and two, securing places in Wednesday’s main finals. In the women’s race, it was Mathilde Gros 6 who took the win with a late charge, just ahead of [Hetty van de Wouw](https://globalkeirin.com/rider/hetty-van-de-wouw/) 3 finishing fast on her outside. The British rider followed the Dutch star to the front, and threatened to pip him at the finish line, but Lavreysen took it by a wheel – making it six wins out of six rides.
